Tokyo Poetry Journal is excited to announce the launch event for their latest volume:
TOPOJO VOL. 13 “MALADIES, CALAMITIES & MISFORTUNES”
Tokyo Poetry Journal’s unlucky Volume 13, aptly titled “Maladies, Calamities & Misfortunes”, serves as a response to misfortunes that have occurred all over the world. Within its pages, authors address significant events including the killing of George Floyd, the subsequent protests, the murder of Mahsa Amini in Iran, the invasion of Ukraine, and more.
These issues transcend borders, and Tokyo Poetry Journal has opened submissions to writers worldwide; the result is a compelling and powerful collection that encompasses both individual experiences and globalized events.
Within these poems, writers from around the world share their responses to these unjust and painful experiences, weaving a tapestry of profound emotions and perspectives.
Join us at the launch event to celebrate the power of poetry! Additionally, there will be an opportunity for guests to purchase back issues of Tokyo Journal as well as the Excursions (Imprint Series) books.
