Tokyo River Clean Up

Make a positive impact on Tokyo’s natural environment by joining the Tokyo River Friends for a series of volunteer river clean-up events this spring. Held along some of the city’s most important waterways: the Arakawa River, Tamagawa River and Edogawa River. Participants will work together to collect trash along riverbanks, keeping Tokyo’s waterfront areas clean.

Cleanups take place at meeting points near public transportation, including Funabori Station, Kojimashinden Station and Myoden Station. After meeting outside the ticket gates, groups will head to nearby river sections to begin the cleanup.
