The Tokyo Spring Festival for Kids 2025 is a special program within the Tokyo Spring Music Festival 2025, designed to introduce children to classical music in an engaging and educational way. Held in Ueno, Tokyo, from March 14 to April 20, 2025, the festival offers a variety of performances and activities for children from preschool to high school.

Young audiences can enjoy interactive storytelling, live music performances and exclusive behind-the-scenes access to professional orchestras, making classical music fun and accessible.

Wagner for Children: Parsifal

A special adaptation of Wagner’s Parsifal, created with the Bayreuth Festival, will introduce children to opera through a shortened version with Japanese dialogue and German singing. Supervised by Katharina Wagner, this performance ensures an authentic and engaging experience.

This interactive storytelling event brings the book Five Wonderful Mice: Music Festival Night by Tashiro Chisato to life with live narration, piano and saxophone.

Open Rehearsals for Children

Children can experience the behind-the-scenes world of professional orchestras with expert-guided rehearsals.
