Yukimasa Ida Art Exhibit

Sep 30, 2023 at 12:00am ~ Dec 03, 2023 at 12:00am

Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art will be hosting Yukimasa Ida’s first major art exposition, Panta – Rhei – For as long as the world turns, curated by Jérôme Sans. Known for his works which explore the concept of “Ichi-go Ichi-e” (once in a lifetime encounter), Ida tells the story of “now” through the lens of the past and present.

This exhibit will showcase this idea through Ida’s extensive practice across painting and sculpture. Bringing together works from 2015 through 2023, including work in both large-scale and small-scale formats. This show asserts Ida’s position as a leading figure within a new generation of Japanese painters.

Yukimasa Ida’s works play in a space between the real and the abstract. He creates paintings infused with a sense of otherworldly awe. With the aim to invoke a different perception of the world in the audience.

You can reserve tickets in advance for a discounted price. Once you buy a ticket it’s good for a single entry at any point during the exhibition period.
