Hawaiian-Mexican fusion isn’t an international food collaboration one would conjure up out of the blue. However, Haw-Mex was the obvious choice for the Hawaiian-Mexican couple who also produced Wil’s Kitchen, of fluffy pancake fame. The newly opened café serves those same pancakes, as well as fiery fajitas and burgers, solidifying the multi-America theme. For the thirsty, Haw-Mex also boasts a well stocked bar with over thirty types of tequila. Take-out will be available soon, with the promise of a treat that’s easy to munch on while strolling around the winding back streets of Shimokitazawa.
