Singer, tarento and anime evangelist Shoko Nakagawa—known as “Shokotan” to her legions of fans—is to host and perform in the first-ever Japan Anison Cup. Presented by TV Tokyo, the event boasts performances of hit anisongs by bless4, four US-born Japanese siblings who have made it Big in Japan creating songs for Disney’s localized Stitwch!, and many other anison stars including Nakagawa herself. Elaborate commemorations of the 40th anniversary of Devilman and Mazinger Z by creator Go Nagai are also on the program.
