Take the opportunity to view with English subtitles a film by writer/director Juichiro Yamasaki, shown in Tokyo International Film Festival in 2011. The film tells the story of a young musician who has to renounce his dream of making music in Tokyo to take over the family dairy farm in Okayama. Director Yamasaki, based in Okayama, is also a farmer. Can’t be many farmer-filmmakers about.
