A Liar’s Auto-biography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman
Aggressively not funny and most decidedly not a Monty Python movie

“Cool,” I said, as the lights dimmed. “A doc about a Monty Python guy. Gotta be funny.” But this tunelessly tedious pseudo-biography about the group’s only openly gay (and long-dead) member is sloppy, often incoherent, aggressively not funny and most decidedly not a Monty Python movie. Cobbled together by 14 different animation studios that apparently communicated infrequently, the film lurches from one wrong-headed, tasteless episode to another. I left the theater spitting. Only 82 minutes but seems interminable! Unwatchable swill. Japanese title: Monty Python Aru Usotsuki no Monogatari: Graham Chapman Jiden. (82 min)
