Another 20th birthday is being feted—that of storied alt-rock unit Buffalo Daughter. Their profile may not be as high worldwide as it was when they toured with the Beastie Boys in the ’90s, but Buffalo Daughter have kept their loose, electro-rock-hip-hop sound fresh by continuing to experiment with unconventional approaches through the years. Guitarist Sugar Yoshinaga, bassist Yumiko Ohno and turntablist Moog curate their own tour through their DIY history, replete with memorabilia, collectibles—and of course sales of their new retrospective album ReDisCover, on which the Beastie Boys’ Adrock and Cornelius make appearances.
