Art as Catalyst – Artists who inspire creativity

Held from Friday, December 15, art, technology and design will inspire creativity and promote various chemical reactions throughout different exhibitions, workshops and talk shows held by artists.
There will be a cross talk between participating artists Yuima Nakazato (fashion designer) and Kazuhide Sekiyama (director and representative executive officer of Spiber Co., Ltd.), also an artist talk by Anouk Wipprecht (high tech fashion designer), as well as artists and creative x startup players.
In these talks, they’ll be considering the relationship between art and innovation and explore civic creativity together.

■ Anouk Wipprecht artist talk [Japanese-English consecutive interpretation included]

December 15 with speaker Anouk Wipprecht (high-tech fashion designer) and Hideaki Ogawa (CCBT Creative Director/Ars Electronica Future Lab Co-Representative)
11am-12:00pm

Anouk Wipprecht combines the latest technology to make fashion an experience that goes beyond mere appearance. We will talk about the production background, process, and mechanism of SCREENDRESS, which is on display at this exhibition.

■ Ars Electronica Inspiration Gallery Tour [Japanese-English consecutive interpretation included]

December 16 with speakers Kyoko Kuno (Ars Electronica Ambassador) and Denise Hirtenfelder (Ars Electronica Future Lab Researcher)
5:30pm-6:30pm

We will tour the space with you and talk about the highlights of the exhibition and the appeal of the works.

■ Roundtable | Possibilities of startup companies originating from art universities

December 19th with speakers Akio Kato (Sekai Co., Ltd.), Gomi Hayakawa (Utsuwa Co., Ltd.), Takashi Yokoishi (&Co.)
