House Dance Workshop with Ejoe Wilson

Legendary house dancer, Ejoe Wilson, is planning to share his talent with Tokyo by teaching a beginner level house dance class this Saturday, August 31. The House dance pioneer rose to fame in Manhattan in the early 1980s, clinching victory at the Apollo Theater’s Amateur Night four times consecutively,
He featured in music videos for notable artists like Nikki D, Monie Love, Heavy D, MC Lyte, Pet Shop Boys, The Real Mccoy, Deelite, and Will Smith. Co-founding the inaugural house dance classes in 1992, Ejoe later joined the Moptop dance crew, serving as a principal dancer for Mariah Carey for 11 years.
His global performances and appearances in films like New Jack City, Juice, and Strictly Business attest to his enduring influence. Additionally, he choreographed for Omarion’s 2020/2021 tour.
He is currently visiting Japan as a judge for the “Dance Alive” competition, a famous dance event and hosting a workshop at zen place.
House Dance Workshop / Beginner Level
This is a beginner-level class, suitable even for those with no dance experience. The lesson will focus on steps to the rhythm of comfortable house music. Let’s dance while feeling the music!
