Eat Free Sushi and Tempura Near Tokyo Station: February 26 & 27 11am – 3pm
Feb 26, 2026 at 11:00am ~ Feb 27, 2026 at 3:00pm
Enjoy free sushi and tempura made with ingredients sourced from Tokyo—right near Tokyo Station.
On February 26 and 27, from 11am to 3pm, head to MY Shokudo Hall & Kitchen, just a short walk from Tokyo Station. Visitors can enjoy complimentary tastings of sushi and tempura prepared with Tokyo-grown vegetables and freshly caught local fish, completely free of charge!
What’s Being Served
Each day, the event will offer 280 free tasting sets, featuring two pillars of Japanese cuisine: sushi and tempura. All dishes will be made exclusively with ingredients sourced from within Tokyo, from coastal waters to farms and mountain-growing regions.
The focus is less on novelty and more on perspective. Tokyo is often framed as a consumer of regional food culture, but this event highlights the capital as a producer in its own right, with fisheries, farms and specialty ingredients that even longtime residents may not realize exist.
A Short Visit That Leaves an Impression
The format is intentionally simple. Guests stop by, pick up a tasting set, watch chefs at work and learn where each ingredient comes from. Staff will be on hand to explain sourcing and preparation, making the experience accessible even for visitors with limited knowledge of Japanese food culture.
Because quantities are limited and the venue keeps things moving, it’s easy to drop in during a lunch break or while exploring the Tokyo Station area. No reservations are required, but early arrival is recommended.
