Tokyo National Museum presents “Immersive Theater New Japonism – From the Jomon Period to Ukiyo-e and Anime”, an awe-inspiring exhibition of powerful visuals brought to life with NHK’s cutting-edge technology.
At its heart is a massive, 7-meter-tall LED monitor at the entrance, displaying ultra-high-definition images that vividly reimagines history. This immersive experience allows you to step into the world of the precious cultural assets held by the Tokyo National Museum.
The exhibition also highlights the distinctive aesthetics that have shaped Japanese art for over 10,000 years, from Jomon-period pottery and clay figurines to modern Japanese anime.
Legendary anime directors such as Osamu Tezuka, Isao Takahata, and Mamoru Hosoda will also be featured.
