Dive into the kaleidoscopic, colorful world of Tokyo-based artist Dennis Sun in his latest exhibition “Pieces of Dream”, where he displays vibrant paintings that take you on a trip full of laughter, imagination, and childhood lightheartedness. Sun’s pieces were completed during a difficult period of his life, shortly after he moved on his own to Japan. Alone, without being able to speak the language, and faced with a new, daunting culture, Sun states that he often spent time painting, and the outcome of this introspective period was a conversation with his “inner self”. The outcome of this introspective period is a series of paintings with positive, comforting messages that provide an emotional oasis in the midst of these difficult times.
