👖 The fashion industry is currently the second largest consumer of water in the world and accounts for approximately 10% of global carbon emissions. Fast fashion also leads to rapid production that prioritizes sales and profits over human welfare.

🧵 Have you heard of the “Slow Fashion Movement”? This movement aims to achieve environmental and social justice in the fashion industry. For the 8th Responsible Marché, they are inviting fashion brands that advocate for key slow fashion principles, such as shifting from quantity to quality, upcycling natural fibers or old fabrics, ensuring living wages and healthy working conditions, and transparency and integrity.
