Sakura Project – Fun Craft Making!
Jan 23, 2024 at 9:00am ~ Feb 22, 2024 at 5:00pm
Hands On Tokyo, an NPO in Tokyo that provides bilingual volunteer opportunities, has planned a craft project to help residents in both senior homes and children’s homes connect with others, and with nature’s seasons. Just in time for the cherry blossom season, we will decorate the walls of the facility with many cherry blossom-themed crafts. Volunteers will be asked to create cherry blossom designs on their own and send them to the mailing address below. At the end of the project, each of them will be combined to make a cherry blossom wall decoration. We hope that this project will bring some cheer to the residents of the facility. About the sakura craft you will make: You can use any materials and colors you like, as long as they are not dangerous to touch. Please make your cherry blossoms as you see fit. Each Sakura craft should be no larger than A4 size (A4 size is 210mm x 297mm). Some of the examples shown below are made with cut and folded paper, or layered tissue paper. Material and shipping costs: Please bear your own costs. Deadline: Must arrive at the Hands On Tokyo office by Thursday, February 22nd.
