The Victory Arrow Festival (Kachiyasai) traces its origins to the legend of Tawara Toda Hidesato, who quelled the Tenkei Rebellion in 940 and dedicated a bow and arrow known as the “Victory Arrow.” Held each year with a warrior parade at 1 pm followed by the Kachiya Festival at 3 pm, the event brings history to life through processions and rituals that celebrate triumph, protection and martial tradition.
