With its central location and scenic pathways, the area around the Imperial Palace is enjoying newfound cachet as a destination for runners and bikers. To help cope with this increasing popularity, a pair of local companies have teamed up to create Marunouchi Bike & Run, a facility for fitness enthusiasts who commute to the area. The space offers showers, lockers, a bicycle maintenance area and parking for up to 71 cycles. It’s located on the B1 level of the Shin Marunouchi Building, which connects directly to Tokyo station. The cost is ¥800 per visit, or ¥7,000 for ten passes; monthly bicycle parking goes for about ¥17,000. Open April 1.
