Brave the freezing waters of Miyukinohama in Kanagawa to welcome the first sunrise of the new year along with members of the Odawara Swimming Association and other adventurous souls. Participants dip into the ocean and pray for good health and safety at sea for the coming year. The 2014 sunrise is predicted to be at its best between 6:45-6:53am depending on weather conditions.
