Hands up if you’re tired of the treadmill and fed up with the same old gym routine. Has your quest to look good got you feeling down? Maybe you should consider joining Jeff Libengood, aka “The Fitness Doctor,” at his Healthy Body Boot Camps in Arisugawa Park.
“We never do the same workout twice… ever,” says Jeff, who guarantees his boot camp will cure any workout rut. A typical class uses Flexbands—versatile tools that help you shape your muscles, stretch, and burn calories more efficiently—in tandem with circuit training and core and cardiovascular conditioning. Plus, you can enjoy the lush setting of the park in Azabu instead of the sweaty confines of your local gym. What’s not to like?
Boot camps are open to all levels of fitness, so even if you don’t know your glutes from your pecs, you can still participate. Tickets are offered both on a pay-as-you-go (¥4,000 per class) or monthly basis (¥35,000 for ten classes taken within a calendar month). Flexbands can be bought, or rented for a fee of ¥500 per class. Morning sessions are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:15-10:15am, and evening “Trailwalker” boot camps will be starting soon.
Jeff is also offering a special deal for Metropolis readers: if you sign up to attend one of his Arisugawa sessions before Christmas, your first class is free. Sounds like it’s time to kiss that treadmill goodbye.
