Think you’re tough enough?

I can’t really tell if Kenshiro Morii, the boss of Studio Moriken, is secretly using his newest iPhone app to tell us something about his childhood, but he’s certainly struggling to say something with the bizarre Konjoyaki (“Willpower Burn”) game.

The free app simulates a traditional male Japanese rite of stupidity, we’re told, where junior jackasses compete to see who can use lit cigarettes to burn themselves most efficiently. If you haven’t guessed how it translates to the small screen, you just take a photo of your hand and then touch that to simulate the grilling action. The longer you hold your finger in place, the deeper the dermal destruction.

Beats me, too, but there it is.
