House music maestro Larry Heard aka Mr Fingers is back this weekend to minister to the faithful from the DJ booth at hallowed dance club Eleven. Heard is most closely associated with the Chicago deep house sound, penning some of its mid-’80s classics in the form of warm, euphoria-inducing numbers like “Can You Feel It” and “Washing Machine,” but his work spans from spoken word meditations to ambient electronica. Look for a full house of devotees of Heard’s long career, which has seen him visit Japan numerous times over two decades.
