The Aromaband anti-mosquito rubber wristband is practical and cheap. At ¥116 a pop (or ¥399/three) it could be your savior during the summer party season. What’s more, its active ingredient is the plant-derived citronella oil, considered a non-toxic biopesticide in the US. The Aromaband comes in one of three sizes, and one of 11 summery colors, and bears the plea “Hey, don’t bite me please!” It’s unlikely to be read by the insects but might stop unwanted advances in bars. Each bracelet has a shelf life of about a week, and unopened packages keep their pungent power for 1.5 years.
