What: 1/50 scale model of the Angkor Wat temple complex
Where: Sophia University
Who: A group of children under the supervision of university president Yoshiaki Ishizawa
When: May 30
Why: Ishizawa, who leads a program to train Cambodian workers to preserve Angkor Wat, supervised the recreation of the World Heritage site using 30,000 wooden blocks. The kids fitted the blocks together without glue—just like the temple complex itself, which was built without the use of binding material
