Support Tohoku families living in temporary housing and feast on an authentic, Southern-style buffet. The smorgasbord will include fried catfish, BBQ ribs, and all the trimmings.
To help get the digestive juices flowing, and the spirit of salvation in the air, there will be some sweet live gospel performed by Jett Edwards and We’ll Be Fine.
All funds raised go to the cause.

Believers Today’s purpose is to create a series of events throughout the Tokyo Metropolitan area, with restaurants, parks, universities, clubs and concert venues for the next two to three years, to raise donations, awareness, and support for families in the Tohoku area still living in temporary housing.
100% of all donations are used toward these and other events. The remaining funds are used for the “You Send Me” project and future events in other Tohoku areas.
Believers Today’s free food service is headed by Latonya Whitaker, a Mississippi native. Whitaker has been in Tokyo catering soul and cajun food with her company Full Expression for three years. She is currently teaching American Southern-style cooking for Niki’s Kitchen. Recently she has done a cooking show for American Day at Koshigaya Laketown Mall and is featured in the September edition of Lightning Magazine.
