Director Tim Burton and his favorite actor, Johnny Depp (pictured), have confirmed rumors that had long been circulating online: they will collaborate on a big-screen remake of the British TV program Dark Shadows. The classic show first aired in 1966, weaving elements of gothic horror into a soap opera format. After a slow start, it gained a devoted following a year into its run with the appearance of a 175-year-old vampire named Barnabas Collins, the role Depp will step into for the remake. The seventh Burton-Depp film will begin filming in April.
