World-champion turntablist A-Trak is not only a trackmaker to the stars (Kanye West et. al.), he’s also acclaimed by hardnosed critics. Emerging from Montreal’s vital electronic music scene, Alain Macklovitch won the DMC World DJ Championship in 1997, becoming the youngest at 15 and the only Canadian to claim the crown. In recent years, A-Trak has toured the world as part of the duo Duck Sauce with Armand Van Helden. His hip-hop/EDM hybrid sound will be featured on the main floor at Shibuya’s four-level, 1500-capacity Sound Museum Vision, in a lineup that also boasts local deck maestros DJ Daruma and Wise from the Teriyaki Boyz.
