Launched by a posse of expat DJs and promoters, Tokyo’s newest techno bash brings booming bass lines and pulsing beats to three indoor arenas and an outdoor stage. The sounds run from the second-generation Detroit techno of Octave One (pictured) to the deft scratching of abstract hip-hop master DJ Krush, on to newer flavors in the form of acts like England’s Reset Robot and Japan’s Bremen. Bonus: the waterfront location offers stellar sunset views of downtown Tokyo across the harbor.
