David Lee Roth isn’t the only expat musician based here. Japan is lucky enough to be the home of some of the world’s most forward-thinking players, two of whom will join forces for an evening of improvised music set to public service and educational films of the 1960s and ’70s. Preeminent computer music composer Carl Stone will conjure up some of his trademark laptop wizardry, while fellow American Samm Bennett will be playing the vintage Korg WaveDrum, which he calls the most expressive electronic percussion instrument ever made.
