Pint-sized yakyu senshu are in for a treat August 13-14, when they’ll be able to join their heroes on the field in Roppongi. The event, titled Konami Presents Let’s Play Catch! in Tokyo Midtown, gives kids a chance to toss around a ball with some big-name former professional baseball players, including Masayuki Matsunuma (Seibu Lions), Toshio Terajima (Yakult Swallows) and Yoshio Mizukami (Chiba Lotte Marines). Anxious parents can relax—the special balls are designed to be used with bare hands. Ages 3 and up are welcome, and advance reservations are required. ¥500 for ball rental.
