Japan’s oddest musicians and performance artists gather over two days to test the boundaries of what constitutes music and art—in other words just another typical weekend for cutting-edge SuperDeluxe in Roppongi. The first day, “Contemporary Dance Groove,” boasts the likes of electro jazzers Tokyo Zawinul Bach and masked bizarros Satanicpornocultshop. The second day, “Post Experimental,” includes figures such as live sonic installation artist Tetsuya Umeda, light and throat singing artist Fuyuki Yamakawa and audiovisual improvisers SJQ++.
