On a recent trip to Family Mart, we spotted a special edition can of Sapporo Mugi to Hoppu (“Barley and Hop”), which suggests that shoppers complement their pseudo-beer with some succulent fried chicken. Very enterprising, we must say—but why stop there? Here are a few suggestions for other fruitful conbini pairings.
