Remember the slap bracelets that were big in the late ‘80s? Household goods maker Senshukai helps you relive that moment in the kitchen. Their one-second apron (¥1,680) slaps on and slides off, in, well, one second. It’s made possible by a flexible plastic waist ring hidden under the colorful fabric. The bow on the front is purely decorative. The speed makes this easy to slap on before slipping into the kitchen to put the last touches on Thanksgiving dinner, or to slip off when the takkyubin man rings at the door. Available patterns include seagulls, owls and two-tone polka dots. There’s a loop so you can hang the apron on a hook and the plastic waistband can be removed for washing. Now if they could only make all garments this easy to wear. Slap on corduroys anyone?
