Postponed due to the coronavirus, this exhibition will be displaying sculptor Kubo Hiroko’s newest work, centred around the human form. Kubo uses folk art, prehistoric art, and cultural anthropological theories as her inspiration, and binds agricultural patterns with humanlike idols and structures. Presenting at Setouchi International Art Festival 2016 and Saitama International Art Festival 2020, Kubo now brings her inspired contemporary art to Tokyo. If you are already a fan of Kubo’s work, or are interested in minimalist and experimental art then this exhibition is a great chance to see more of the talented sculptor’s newest pieces.
