Japan’s First “Pickleball Park” at MIYASHITA PARK

TBS Holdings, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, President and CEO: Ryujiro Abe) and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, President and CEO: Takashi Ueda) have been jointly promoting pickleball—a rapidly growing sport originating in the United States—since April 2024.

As part of this initiative, the two companies will host “SIW2025 PICKLEBALL PARK in MIYASHITA PARK”during SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK 2025 (SIW2025), organized by the Shibuya Future Design General Incorporated Association and co-hosted by Shibuya Ward.

The event will run for eight days (October 31st until 2pm), with a special pickleball court installed in the multi-purpose sand sports area on the fourth floor of MIYASHITA PARK—a landmark symbol of Shibuya’s vibrant youth culture. This will mark the first pickleball event ever held at MIYASHITA PARK.

Under the concept “Watch, Play, Connect,” the Pickleball Park aims to offer a new kind of urban sports experience. Visitors can watch professional matches, join friendly games, and engage with the growing pickleball community. The venue will serve as a dynamic hub where students, companies, and professional athletes can interact, creating new opportunities for collaboration, health, and community through sport.
