Where are the cats? Jinny Street Gallery X KITTYZILLA
Aug 15, 2025 at 7:30pm ~ Aug 15, 2025 at 10:30pm
On Friday, August 15th, Jinny Street Gallery is hosting a solo illustration exhibition by artist KITTYZILLA: “Where are the cats?”
This exhibition is based on real-life stories gathered through interviews with local residents. Through Oren’s distinctive painting style and original cat characters, it portrays the memories of Jingumae 2-Chome—a neighborhood undergoing rapid redevelopment. By visualizing disappearing scenery and the lives once lived there, the exhibition gently draws attention to the “hidden changes of everyday life”. It prompts reflection on “the future of our communities.”
During the opening event, held at the art gallery and bar [NININI], Jinny Street gallery offers food, good music, and a limited edition of their original “Jinny Lemon Sour” available at the counter.
From 8:30, you can walk around the gallery with Kittyzilla herself, guiding guests through the story of her artworks and the process behind them.
Price
Kittyzilla`s exhibition is free for all to attend.
