Embark on a journey into the enigmatic world of human existence as DIESEL ART GALLERY proudly presents the solo exhibition “POSE” by the visionary artist Yukino Yamanaka. From December 2, 2023, to January 16, 2024, witness Yamanaka’s exploration of the blurred line between the material contours of humanity and the ephemeral states that define our being.

Yamanaka’s artistic evolution, from concrete depictions to abstract strokes, mirrors the ongoing transformation of her subjects. The exhibition features 12 new paintings and her debut three-dimensional work, challenging the relationship between contemporary painting and space while approaching the lost authenticity of the art form.

The title, “POSE,” not only signifies the physical attitude of models in art but also alludes to superficial postures and states lacking depth. In a society saturated with pseudo-attitudes and drowning in a sea of images, we find ourselves navigating an unsteady dance, unable to distinguish between reality and façade. Yamanaka’s creations ponder the decay of humanity or the heralding of a new era in this uncertain tableau.
