Classically trained Swedish rakugo performer Sanyutei Kouseinen is performing a special Rakugo performance in English at Asakusa.
Rakugo, with a history spanning over 300 years dating back to the Edo period, is a comedic performance told by a single storyteller. Sanyutei Kouseinen, who has undergone extensive training in Rakugo, will be performing several pieces that he has personally translated into English in his first English show.

While the performance is in English, commentary and explanation in Japanese is provided, making it an event that can be enjoyed by everyone.
