YumeUtsutsu – Shinichi Kaneko at UltraSuperNew Gallery

Mar 08, 2025 at 2:00pm ~ Mar 21, 2025 at 7:00pm

UltraSuperNew Gallery presents YumeUtsutsu, a solo exhibition by Shinichi Kaneko, running from March 8 to March 21, 2025. Known for his exploration of interconnectedness, Kaneko reinterprets motifs from Shunga (traditional Japanese erotic Ukiyo-e), using intertwined hands and feet as metaphors for the unseen forces that bind people, events and emotions.

In YumeUtsutsu, the boundary between dream and reality dissolves, inviting viewers to reconsider how we perceive relationships and the world around us. Through painting, drawing and sculpture, Kaneko captures fleeting moments where reality and imagination merge, creating a space where the conscious and unconscious coexist.

The exhibition opens with a special event on March 7, from 7pm to 9pm, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the works in the presence of the artist.
