It’s July and Showa Kayo Night has returned to Shibuya! Oh my!
Showa Kayo Night is a popular monthly Japanese oldies DJ event which has been held monthly for 10 years in Shibuya, Tokyo. Organized by American expat and DJ Justin Miller and long-time Tokyo nightlife mainstay Ayano Umejima, the event has been featured on Japanese television, radio, and print since its inception for its unique mix of Japanese and non-Japanese fans of all ages and walks of life. Showa Kayo Night events are exceptional because of the diversity of the audience. Japanese locals mix with tourists and expats of all ages to come together at the bar, in conversation, and on the dance floor. Expect hot moves, cool drinks, and lots of fun with old friends and new ones. It will be held at the fantastic nightclub in Miyashita park. The entrance is on the 1st floor of Meiji-dori and the party is upstairs on the 3rd floor.
