Spiral Independent Creators Festival

Organized by Spiral, SICF (Spiral Independent Creators Festival) is an open-call art festival that aspires to discover, foster, and support emerging artists and designers. The 23rd Spiral Independent Creators Festival will take place from May 3 (Tuesday) to May 8 (Sunday) 2022.
In the EXHIBITION section, held at Spiral Hall (Spiral 3F), young creators will present their pieces, from sculptures and installations to media art, photography and paintings, in their individual booths. The MARKET section will be host to creators in the fields of design, crafts, fashion, textiles and accessories exhibiting and selling their creations.
At the end of the festival, a series of prizes will be announced, including the Judges’ Awards, Semi-Grand Prize, and Grand Prize as well as the Audience Award, selected by visitors and the Best Seller Award given to the creator who sold the most items. The winners of the Grand Prize of the EXHIBITION section will be awarded with a solo exhibition at Spiral’s most symbolic venue, the “Atrium” and ¥500,000 to prepare the exhibition. The winners of the Grand Prize of the MARKET section will be awarded with a solo pop-up at Entrance (Spiral 1F) and ¥300,000 to prepare their show.
Last year, we received more than 10,000 visitors at SICF. We hope you will be even more this year to experience the “joy of seeing” and the “joy of buying” art, crafts and design.
