Spring Festival in Tokyo, 2025
Mar 14, 2025 at 12:00am ~ Apr 20, 2025 at 12:00am
The Spring Festival in Tokyo Executive Committee (Executive Chairman: Koichi Suzuki) is planning to hold the Spring Festival in Tokyo, 2025: Japan’s largest classical music festival, spread across 40 days of Ueno’s cherry blossom season.
A wide range of concerts, including opera, orchestral, chamber music, and recitals by top artists from Japan and abroad, will be presented in a variety of spaces to mark the arrival of spring.
We are pleased to announce the full program for the Museum Concert, one of the distinctive concert series of the Spring Music Festival in Tokyo, held at art galleries and museums scattered around Ueno Park, a cultural hub enjoyed by many visitors every year.
This year, a total of 22 performances will be held at five cultural facilities. This is a special program that allows you to enjoy classical music in an atmosphere slightly different from that of a concert hall.
Also, other events will be held including the world’s top pianist Rudolf Buchbinder, who rendered taste-filled performances of Beethoven zyklus at the 2024 music festival, the spirited contemporary music group Ensemble Intercontemporain and Klangforum Wien, and popular singers active in Europe, as well as chamber music and recitals by leading artists from Japan and abroad, the popular museum concert “Wagner for Kids” in collaboration with the Bayreuth Festival in Germany, and “Concerts in Harmony with Cherry Blossoms”, which hold small concerts in the streets of Ueno.
