How have young Japanese fashion designers absorbed ’00s trends such as deflation and social media? “Feel and Think” looks at a new generation of designers to emerge amid a highly different environment than the Bubble that spawned Japanese fashion titans like Issey Miyake. The imaginative results of efforts by ateliers such as Anrealage and Sasquatchfabrix can be seen on any given day in the Harajuku Urahara and Daikanyama backstreets. Before you head there to shop, a visit to this show could prove instructive.
Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, until Dec 25 (listing).
