Members of the “boy” band Fudanjuku were on hand to open the temporary location of Kiddy Land toy shop in Harajuku last month. Fudanjuku is an all-girl ensemble whose members perform dressed as “typical” Japanese schoolboys. Based in Nakano Broadway, they often attract crowds of over 1,000 for their shows and for promotional appearances at Kiddy Land’s 77 shops throughout Japan. The new Harajuku flagship store will open in the original Kiddy Land location in the summer of 2012.
