A dancer, bassist and “no-input mixing board” player come together for an improvisational outing whose results can only be guessed at. Lean, muscled Taketeru Kudo is one of his generation’s most noted performers of Japan’s avant-garde dance form butoh, and frequently circles the world purveying the dark magic of his craft. Bassist Pearl Alexander became of Tokyo’s experimental musician set on moving here in 2009. Sonic adventurer Toshimaru Nakamura came upon his unusual use of a mixing board as an instrument itself after “long unhappy years with the electric guitar.”
