Okay, we’ll admit that fruit wasn’t the first thing that came to mind when we were slipped one of these at a recent MoMA Design Store event, sans explanation. As it turns out, Paul Stremple’s Banana Bunker has nothing to do with kinky sex and everything to do with solving one of nature’s most infuriating conundrums: how could the best-designed piece of fruit on the planet make such a bad traveling companion? This clear, flexible case promises to put an end to the nightmare scenario of opening your rucksack to find everything smeared in banana puree—and that can only be a good thing.
