When a product only comes in pink and beige versions, it gives you a pretty good idea of the target audience. Such is the case with the Tolton, a massage device that’s aimed squarely at the lucrative “exhausted housewife” demographic. Now there’s no need to beg your hubby for one of his inept shoulder rubs: simply sling one of these puppies around your neck, and you can enjoy a mechanical massage while doing the housework or watching TV. Weighing in at a not-unmanageable 3.6 kilos, the Tolton can also be used to massage the back, thighs and calves. Just don’t call it a vibrating scarf.
Tolton, ¥21,000. Available from major electronics stores.
