According to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Damon is in discussions to play Robert F Kennedy in an upcoming biopic. Damon might seem like a shoo-in to portray the slain US presidential candidate, but the 39-year-old actor, who can currently be seen in Invictus, told Reuters he has yet to see a script. “I have been talking to [director] Gary Ross [Seabiscuit, Pleasantville] about that for over a year, and we are both really excited to do it,” he said. “Gary is a great writer and a great director, so I am confident that it is going to happen.” Damon is expected to visit Japan in April to promote his next film, Green Zone.
