Porcine musical odyssey

UK sampling wunderkind and sound fundamentalist Matthew Herbert hates the way modern pop music lies to us. His act of rebellion is to utilize his mic to create techno albums based on everything from the sound of a MacDonald’s wrapper being deconstructed to bodily functions. His latest project One Pig was exactly that—over the course of a year Herbert recorded the sounds of one pig and transformed them into an album of contemporary electronica. Herbert brings his sonic pig to Japan for a short tour that includes a “live” set on Thursday and DJ set on Saturday.
