Theater company Lemuria Winds presents a prayer for peace with a tale linking the Virgin Mary with Japan’s early persecuted Christians and the Nagasaki bombing. College students Maria and Yosuke meet a mysterious wheelchair-bound woman who tells them they are related to Mary and brings them to a cathedral on August 8, the eve of the Nagasaki tragedy. What is the purpose of their visit…? Lemuria Winds is a (non-religious) women’s theater troupe that debuted at a Hiroshima bombing commemoration last year. The play is subtitled in English and French.
